Interview with William Brennan, Managing Director & Senior Portfolio Manager at Boenning & Scattergood for the U.S. and Global Water Equities Portfolios

William S. Brennan, who selected the securities for the Claymore-Boenning & Scattergood Global Water Equities UIT and the US Domestic Water UIT, joined Boenning & Scattergood as Managing Director, Director of Equities, after working at Avondale Partners where he was a Director, Institutional Sales. Prior to Avondale, he was a senior analyst and vice president at Pitcairn Investment Management and the executive vice president of Sequoia Software, a public software company that was sold to Citrix Systems (CTXS) in May 2001. Mr. Brennan began his investment career with Pacific Growth Equities in San Francisco, where he ran the Environmental Services, Aviation Security and Special Situation sectors for six years. He served in the US Air Force as a Missile Combat Crew Commander for the MX Missile and as an engineer on space shuttle mission 51-J. He is a graduate of Lehigh University where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biology, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University and an MBA from Villanova University, where he is an adjunct professor in the graduate MBA program. He serves as the co-portfolio manager of the Praetor Global Water Equities Fund, based in Luxemburg and as a strategy and portfolio advisor to Summit Global Water Partners, a private fund that invests in the domestic and international water sector.

Boenning & Scattergood is the oldest independent investment firm in the Philadelphia region. With a focus on specific industry trends, Boenning has developed a particular expertise and knowledge of the water industry, which includes water utilities, filtration, equipment, chemical and engineering companies.

The U.S. Water Equities Portfolio:
Focuses on companies whose primary revenues and growth derive from some aspect of the domestic potable water industry, including: water supply, pumps and pipes, machinery and equipment, filtration and purification, compliance and testing, utilities, metering and distribution, construction and engineering, wastewater treatment and recycling.
